What is a Ration Card?
Ration card is a government document implemented by the state government, which is also used as an identity card. Its main use is to buy essential goods from the shops at low prices under the public distribution system. There are many types of ration cards made by the state government, which include the above poverty line (APL), below poverty line (BPL), and ration cards for Antodaya families. Types of ration cards
There are 3 types of Rashan run by Card Government in Bihar
This is given to the poor, unemployed, aged or low income familys by Antodaya Rashan Card- State Government. This card is yellow in color.
BPL Rashan Card - It is given to those people who fall below the poverty line or their income is less than 10,000. Under this, by taking a special subsidy, he can buy goods at a very low price. This card is blue, red, pink.
APL Rashan Card - It is given to those people who come above the Poor Line or who have no fixed maximum income. This card is orange in color.

How to add a new name to ration card and how to make any correction?
The entire process of adding a new name to the ration card or applying for any correction is provided, which are mentioned below.
1. First of all, (a) collect the ration card application form from the office or nearest ration card office or you can also download it from the official website of the Department of Food Supplies and Consumers.

2. After this, fill all the information in the application form correctly, which is necessary.

4. Now hand over the application form to the person / operator working at the RTPS counter in the block office and get the acceptance slip.
